Beginning April 22nd the ESGVJCC has been hosting a meal pick-up and delivery service for our seniors and to-date we have provided 2,550 meals. ESGVJCC is able to provide free meals to seniors with grant support from the JA Community Foundation. The senior meal program was set to end in July but we are excited to announce that the program will be extended to the end of December! The extension was made possible by another JA Community Foundation grant of $15,000! Through this program, ESGVJCC is supporting and partnering with small local businesses such as Hilo Volcano Grill, L&L Hawaiian BBQ, Tasty Goody Chinese Fast Food and Misky Misky Cocina Peruana. Seniors with transportation can come by the ESGVJCC and pick up a free meal. Meal delivery is provided to seniors who did not have a means of transportation. This service will be provided to our seniors every Wednesday. Thank you to the JA Community Foundation for their continued support. Thank you to everyone who has made donations to the ESGVJCC.
