Save the date for two very cool things happening at the ESGVJCC on Saturday, June 10!
From 11am-1pm, our Student Exchange Program will be having its Wonton Fundraiser. We’ll be selling everyone’s favorite fried wontons—get a pack of 5 for $6 or a pack of 10 for $10! All sales will directly benefit their upcoming trip to Otawara, Japan, so please consider supporting the students and their trip! To place an order, email Program Director of Youth Services, Melissa Kozono at mkozono@esgvjcc.org.

Then at 1pm, we’ll be hosting a screening of Paul Daisuke Goodman’s film No No Girl. Paul is not only a former Student Exchange Program participant but also a two-time cancer survivor and founder/creative director of Eight East Productions. No No Girl is a multi-generational story about the eviction of Japanese Americans on the west coast and explores what it means to be Japanese American today, over 80 years later. Check out the trailer and learn more about the movie on the official Instagram page @nonogirl_movie!
