Sabers Basketball

In efforts to prioritize our commitment to safety, health, and well-being of constituents in our community, a recent review of current pandemic measures and COVID-19 mitigation was conducted. In light of the federal health emergency being dismissed and in recent days, California and LA County have ended emergency declarations as well.

That being said, effective April 1st, 2023, Sabers COVID Protocols will be rescinded to “strongly recommend” level for the following:

  • Masking during activity
  • Inoculations, vaccines and bivalent booster

The following will still remain “required”:

  • Daily health status checks
  • Cleaning and disinfection of premises
  • NO-SHOW if ANY illness symptoms present which can be spread, not limited to coughing, sneezing.

Ballroom Class

Ballroom has adopted these COVID guidelines:

  • Masking is now optional
  • We are not taking temperatures of our participants at the door
  • All participants must bring proof of COVID vaccinations. We do not accept unvaccinated participants.

Gakuen

  • No change to vaccination/negative test rule for anyone coming to the Community Center and is not vaccinated and boosted (this is per Community Center)
  • Everyone shall continue to wear a face mask while indoor AND outdoor
  • Health screenings will be discontinued
  • Temperature checks will continue

Leisure Club

As of April 5, 2023, Leisure Club Board approved the following revised COVID-19 guidelines.

  • Masking is now optional but recommended.
  • Masking to protect the safety of our seniors will be required under the following conditions:
    1. You must wear a mask if you think you might be coming down with a cold.
    2. After returning from travel. It is requested that you test for COVID-19 3 to 5 days after your return.
  • Members with fever or any COVID-19 symptoms are asked to stay home.
  • COVID vaccinations are still required for new and current members. If not vaccinated, a negative COVID-19 test result must be shown before being allowed to participate.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing protocols will remain. Members will be responsible for cleaning surfaces they touch.

Please note that masking requirements may be reinstituted for all members if COVID-19 numbers increase.

Kendo

Kendo will continue to follow the ESGVJCC’s protocol:

Vaccinations required, masks optional.  However, we reserve the right to require masks in case of unanticipated health events and/or any requirements from our kendo regional or national governing bodies.

Kishin Daiko

Kishin Daiko has adopted the following guidelines:

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required
  • If no proof of vaccination is available, proof of a negative COVID-19 test before practice is required
  • Face coverings are optional
  • Temperature and health screenings are not conducted on site
  • All attendees must self-screen for symptoms before practice
  • Members must follow LA County Public Health Guidelines after testing positive for COVID-19 (isolation instructions) or after close contact with someone with COVID-19 (quarantine instructions)
  • ESGVJCC cleaning and disinfection procedures are observed
